Hi, i’m Robbie
I am a cellist, guitarist, and bassist, based in Worcester MA. After graduating from Clark University in 2023 with a Bachelors of Arts in Music I moved to the Brookfields and began teaching at Berkshire Hills Music Academy (BHMA), a vocational music school for adults with intellectual disabilities. There I taught private lessons in addition to directing the schools rock, pop, and folk bands, (essentially Jack Black in “School of Rock”). I also worked as the assistant engineer and session cellist at Farm View Recording studio while balancing my own private teaching and performances.
Between all the practicing, performing, teaching, and art directing I was doing I got a better understanding of what I was truly passionate about — making music a verb, an “-ing” that people can do together and be impacted by. There's a lot more and a lot less between notes on a page and jamming or performing with others than people think and it’s mostly mindset. This is what made me fall in love with teaching. Over and over again,I not only get to help make music be more of a verb, or action, for someone else but also enable them to do so with others by playing with or for them.
